support and recovery.

someone who drowns in 7 feet of water is just as dead as someone who drowns in 20 feet of water. stop comparing traumas, stop belittling you or anyone else’s trauma because it wasn’t as “bad” as someone else’s. this isn’t a competition, we all deserve support and recovery.

true beauty is.

true beauty is not related to what color your hair is or what color your eyes are.

true beauty is about who you are as a human being.

don’t think about.

don’t think about what can happen in a month. don’t think about what can happen in a year. just focus on the 24 hours in front of you and do what you can to get closer to where you want to be.

think of yourself.

one day it just clicks.

you realize what’s important and what isn’t.

you learn to care less about what other peple

think of you and more about what you

think of yourself you realize how far you’ve

come and you remember when you thought

things were such a mess that you would never

recover. and you smile. you smile because

you are truly proud of yourself and

the person you’ve fought to become.

between two wolves.

There’s a battle between two wolves inside us all.

One is evil: it’s anger, it’s jealousy, it’s greed, it’s ego, it’s lies.

The other is good: joy, peace, kindness, hope and love.

Which wolf wins??

The one you feed.

put IT down.

Everyday we are faced with challenges and obstacles which could help us grow and help define us. Now when stress creeps in, it could make things seem quite impossible. It could even paralyze us, preventing us from doing things that need to be done.

Fill a glass with water.

How much do you think it weighs?

8oz.? 12oz.? 16oz.?

The absolute weight of the glass doesn’t matter. It depends how long I hold onto it. If I hold it for a minute, nothing happens to it. If I hold it for an hour, my arm will begin to ache. If I hold it all day long, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. Well the weight of the glass hasn’t changed but the longer I hold onto it the heavier it becomes.

The stresses and the worries of life are like this glass of water. If you think about them for a little while, there’s no problem. Think about if for a little bit longer. It begins to hurt. you think about them all day long and you’ll feel paralyzed, incapable of doing anything.

Always remember, put the glass down.

valuable life lesson.

We all have this one life to live. A fleeting shadow among all that exists in this vast universe. We have the ability to accomplish anything if we use our time wisely.

Now imagine putting a bunch of golf balls in a jar. Is it full?

Yes.

Now imagine putting a bunch of pebbles into the jar. Is it full now?

Yes.

Now imagine pouring of good amount of sand into the jar. How about now, is it full?

Yes.

Lastly, imagine pouring some alcohol on top, just to finish filling the jar.

It’s clearly full at this point.

**This is where you should take a moment to imagine this**

Now, I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life.

The golf balls are the important things: your family, your friends, your health and your passions.

The pebbles are the other important things: your car, your job, your home.

The sand is everything else, it’s just the small stuff.

Now if you put the sand in the jar first, you won’t have room for the pebbles or the golf balls.

The same is true in life. If you spend all your energy and time on the small stuff, you won’t have time for all the important things that matter to you. Pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Take care of the golf balls first, the really important things. Set your priorities because everything else is just sand.

Oh, and the beer? Well it just goes to show that no matter how full your life may seem to be, there’s always room for a couple of beers with a friend.

recognize real happiness.

I’m beginning to recognize that real happiness isn’t something large and looming on the horizon ahead, but something small, numerous and already here.

The smile of someone you love.

A decent breakfast.

The warm sunset.

Your little everyday joys all lined up in a row.

know your worth.

make sure you don’t start seeing yourself through the eyes of those who don’t value you. know your worth, even if they don’t.
